Title: Childbase Communication app for staff

Objective: To make it easier for the head office to communicate with their 1400 staff members, a new messaging app was created.

App development team wedoApps were able to target head office messages to staff members direct to their mobile phones saving the staff members valuable time logging on to the staff email from a desktop to get important messages.

Childbase staff messenger uses a dedicated bespoke back-end written in cake-php with Apple’s push notification integrated as the main delivery option.

Any staff manager nursery, or head of department can be pushed a message that has a simple notification alert on their mobile screens, no messages can be missed and all are put into folders and categories. On top of this, you can ask a question to your staff and get a reply, making this app an invaluable HR tool and for gaining interest in new initiatives.

Frontend 

We had a big input from the marketing team at Childbase or leaders in using technology in the childcare sector. Their input shaped the look and feel of the app and gave them ownership of how this application visually would look. Simple to use and easy to get access to the information was key.
